Foss Waterway Seaport is the hidden member of Tacoma's museum row. We visited on a rainy day and had the place nearly to ourselves. The building itself is the main artifact and attraction, but I enjoyed the museum contents too. https://www.fosswaterwayseaport.org/
A short walk away from the museum is Thea's Park, which affords a great view of the Tacoma waterfront. Thea Foss's story is remarkable - explained in the museum. She was a 19th century Norwegian immigrant who parlayed the purchase of a $5 rowboat into a major fleet of tugboats. https://g.co/kgs/t2nCkY
