    The jewelry store owner had a delayed reaction on effectiveness for a pistol 'show'. The robber just saw a hand in a pocket, & bolted. If the robber had an impulse to use that pipe on the owner, he would NOT have been able to pull gun from his pocket. IMO.

    Jewelry owner risks going to prison for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Unless he can articulate that his life was in danger, he may very well go to prison. Theft is what insurance is for. Shooting someone for stealing property is felony murder. That is a big no no.
