Description

This canyon we are in leads to many different kinds of bushwhacking opportunities. In the past we have found Chanterelles, Black Trumpets, Oyster, and some deadly Amanitas among other mushrooms that I don't recall the names of. Yesterday we discovered this one very edible Amanita mushroom. My friend describes the qualities of it. Notice the immense size! Larger than the largest Portobello I've ever seen.

  • amanitas taste like shit. might as well just eat some of the dirt it's growing out of.

  • Just don't eat the bright red orangish ones with the white speckles. I hear they are highly toxic.
