On October 30, 2020, Joeylynn and Robert Mesaros were exercising their 1st Amendment right by expressing their support for President Trump’s re-election as they drove along with the Biden campaign bus through Texas, flying Trump flags. They later found out on mainstream media that the individuals in the campaign bus were offended by the Mesaros' showing support for their candidate so close to their campaign bus so they sued the couple with a civil lawsuit on the federal court level. Since then, the Mesaros' have set up a GiveSendGo campaign to raise money for their legal fees.
