Description

Continuing our chronological study of the Scriptures, we move to “The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel.” Being a man of priestly stock, Ezekiel was 30 years old when the LORD called him to serve as both priest and prophet. Ezekiel would minister to a discouraged people who were living in the shadow of God’s judgment, and serving a heathen people. Like the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 6), Ezekiel’s calling was a vision of God’s glory with the Lord sitting on the throne of heaven (1:1). Humbled by the majesty of the LORD, Ezekiel writes, “I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake” (1:28c).
