We are a Bible teaching ministry currently based in Cleveland Tennessee. Each week we broadcast...

The LORD did not intend the children of Israel to spend 40 years in the wilderness before they were to take possession of the Promised Land. Up to this point The LORD had been busy with transforming this collection of families, descendants of Abraham, into a nation. Now after more than a year of preparation, they were to enter the Land. But before they entered the Land, God gave Moses one more instruction. Numbers 13:1-2 NKJV 1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them." There is an interesting tie in with the last few verses of this Torah portion found in Numbers 15:37-41. The same Hebrew word translated as “spy” in verse two is used again in verse thirty nine in reference to the commandment to wear tzitzit. What is this connection and how does it show us the faithfulness, and grace, as well as the judgment of God, extended through Messiah Yeshua?
