Description

As we ended part 1 of this study on Micah, we learned that those who perverted justice would not have an inheritance in Israel. Micah will return to emphasize this theme in chapter 3. However, before he does so, Micah writes about the remnant of Israel. As we learned from the prophet Amos, ninety percent of the population of the northern kingdom either perishes or goes into captivity. The first chapter of Micah prophesied that many people in Judah would also be slain and taken into captivity. Those left in the land comprise only ten percent of the population. The remnant that Micah writes about is surely not very large. What is the promise to this remnant?
