☦️ Today is Pentecost, which we Orthodox celebrate as the beginning of The Church and the invitation to the entire world to join the Body of Christ. The apostles did this by praising God in all of the languages of the foreign visitors to Jerusalem, so that they might hear The Word. The homily addresses how we come to the Church and the sacrament of the Eucharist prepared to form that one Body where everyone is welcome and has a place.
