☦️ Today is the Sunday of All Saints, when we honor our heroes who suffered, sacrificed, contributed and showed courage in Christ, supported by the Holy Spirit. The homily addresses how from the first decades of the early church to today, there are people who read into Scripture what they want it to say. Clear instruction that makes us uncomfortable in “the world” (current society) or is difficult and demanding, is fashionably attacked or twisted to be interpreted as what people want, instead of what God wants for us.
