You're right. For anyone who was there, it was painfully obvious that the police were most definitely not the good guys, and the patriots were not the bad guys. If the patriots had been the sort of people that the media and politician have described, then the police would have quickly been wiped out, with few survivors. However, good men at the event rushed to the front and bravely took it, while screaming "Hold the line!". They volunteered to be tear gassed, so that the police would not have enough for the others. It literally brought a tear to my eye. Nobody from that event will be "backing the blue" again.
