It is a spiritual battle. Why do you think these people are able to get away with what they are doing. They are being controlled by the spirit of the anti-Christ. With that being said, if we are gong to call ourselves Christians, we must realize that these governors and other leaders are not who we are fighting against, so instead of us doing a bunch of physical and intellectual things to fight the people that are being used by the real enemy, we need to be on our faces for the salvation of all people, including the corrupt leaders we are not so happy with. Imagine what could happen if we prayed for the salvation of Joe Biden and his entire administration, or for Nancy Pelosi, or Gavin Newsom, or this other governor who you mention in this story. I know it is easy to have and build up hatred for many of our leaders, as they are doing things to destroy life the way we know it. However, life as we know it, at least here in this country, has been way too easy on us Christians, and I think we have taken it for granted for too long. Don't get me wrong. I love the freedoms this country offers us, and I do believe God has given them to us, but we have abused these freedoms and have used them more to obtain the "American Dream" than we have to build and advance the Kingdom of God. I hate to say this like Joe Biden, but C'mon, man! We all know this is true, and there is usually only one way God draws his people back to Himself. We need to be looking at 2 Chronicles 7:14, but also the verse before it. Verse 14 says, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." This is a grate verse, as it promises healing and restoration for God's people, but not before we are humbled and turn (repent) from OUR wicked ways. Do you know how that usually happens? Let's look at verse 13. It says, "If I close the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people," Scary, right. Well, being that this verse precedes verse 14, it would suggest that God's people had to go through some hard stuff to realize how far they wandered away from HIm, and I am certain that is what is happening now. Think about what's listed in verse 13 (drought, famine, and a plague). Doesn't that almost mirror what is going on all over the place right now? I think it is verse 14 time. "Those who ARE CALLED (born again Christians)" by God's name need to wake up from their sinful slumber (spiritual laziness, etc...), humble themselves before God, turn from all the crap we KNOW we have given place to and give God ALL of our attention, and then pray for God to heal us and our land. I am guilty, but I am ready to make the change. How about you?
