In this bonus, mid-week mini-sode, we visit Joshua Citrus, discuss the overlooked agricultural aspect of Florida, and show the kids that the products we buy at the store didn't magically appear there. It took hard work to bring it to market. Joshua Citrus has its roots in a family farm that is a piece of Florida's agricultural history stretching all the way back to around the turn of the century 1900. The facility has a grove stand that features a full slate of citrus products, ice cream, a U-Pick area, and a fun playground for the kids.
It's important for us, though, to teach the kids while we're here - that the things that we enjoy, the orange juice on the table - hard work is involved in getting it to our table. Thank you, America's farmers. 🇺🇸👨🏻🌾👩🏻🌾
