For my entire career I worked in Learning, Technology, and Information Science. The last 19 years as a university computing professor. Now that I'm retired I have decided to share some of my knowledge and life's experience, together with my daughter Michelle (@Fleecimals) with all of you. Although my career has been based on digital technology, I have always maintained a connection with the analog. With making, repairing, restoring, cooking, growing, etc. so there is always something different here every week!
Friday I was in the mood for a Fish Fry (or as my friends in the UK would say, Fish & Chips). Rather than go out, I thought I'd try and see if I could make it in my Air Fryer. (I generally avoid deep frying at home, especially in the winter when ventilation is difficult.) The tricky part is getting a "deep fried batter" coating on the fish without it dripping all over the air fryer. I didn't quite succeed, but I think I might be on the right track. The fish was tasty, I just need to figure out how to get more "sticky self-frying batter" (i.e. batter with the oil incorporated) to coat the fish.
