After Zechariah’s night filled with eight visions, he receives a prophetic word that finishes off the central theme of the visions. Zechariah’s eight visions form a chiastic structure detailing God’s sovereignty over the whole earth. As sovereign, God will judge the earth. He will establish boundaries of holiness around His nation. Israel will be the site of His capital from which He will reign. Yeshua, the Son of David, called the Branch will rule on His throne. The prophecy in this section of Zechariah tells us more about this king and his kingdom.
