Despite media reports that the Pentagon was considering sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and growing approval amongst NATO member states, Joe Biden has ruled the idea out. When asked directly outside the White House by reporters, Biden simply stated ‘no.’

However, the idea appears to have gained traction in the US military’s upper echelons, with an unnamed source telling Politico that top officials were ‘quietly pushing the Pentagon to approve’ sending F-16s.
